Tiresias Posted August 25, 2014 Share Posted August 25, 2014 I think the plan is that nasri and silva will drift narrow so should never lack for a passing option anyway, so the midfield 2 is less of a risk. The full backs are good enough to provide attacking width too. If Toure is drifting in and out Liverpool may manage to wrestle possession. City's 4-4-2 seems well designed to play against most teams who will sit deep against them, with a lot of dangerous players to take on a deep lying team.
