number9shirt
The fee is a bit on the small side shouldn't be selling for less than 10mil. I could understand him going to west ham but I don't get the move to watford, Is a year in the championship with us really worse than being a watford player? Who knows but he doesn't want to be here, Rafa doesn't want him here. It's money made back. Move on and forget.
Dave
He's never looked that arsed to me, despite claiming so at that awards ceremony and punching walls etc.
Foluwashola
He's never looked that arsed to me, despite claiming so at that awards ceremony and punching walls etc. He was somewhere in between Sissoko and Mitrovic on the fucks given scale. afar
At the end of the day we made a profit on him and we've brought his replacement in for less money. Personally, I don't have anything bad to say about him, up and down form but clearly not a player Rafa really wanted so good luck to him, we'll be fine in his absence as the last 3 games have shown. We've done pretty well from the RB spot in terms of money lately, Debuchy bought for 5 mill sold for 10 mill Janmatt bought for 4.5 mill sold for 7.5 mill, and Yeldin in for 5 million probably. so in all we are in profit. M4
Always liked him, but if his performance against Huddersfield shows the level of implication he feels for this season then it's a good thing he's leaving.
Mattoon
Not really fussed he's going, he's had some good partnerships down that right hand side at times and we've relied heavily on him in the past but he's just so positionally suspect and too error prone. £7.5m for a player that looks like he wasn't going to feature much is good business. Can we now start getting into a deficit on transfers please, the money is there, finish the fucking puzzle!
Sho Time
He's never looked that arsed to me, despite claiming so at that awards ceremony and punching walls etc. Aye, like Debuchy he often took the easy way out with stupid, unnecessary red cards when things weren't going great. See Leicester (when Carver was manager and blamed Williamson) and Swansea last season. Not a huge fan but don't agree with selling and replacing him with Yedlin. mozy
I think he's both a cunt and a positionally inept right back, so i'm not sad to see him go.
BlackandWhite
Good ridance. Good assistant down the right wing every now and then, but shit defender. Anita's looked better the last two games than he did in the first two. Anita might not be the better player overall but at least he gives a fuck. andyman
Getting rid of a player who doesn't want to play for us? Great news
Klaus
I liked him, and thought he would end up somewhere better than Watford iibh.
Teasy
I'd rather play a shit 5 foot nothing central midfielder at right back than this lad, amazing if we get £7.5m for him. Good ridance. Good assistant down the right wing every now and then, but shit defender. Anita's looked better the last two games than he did in the first two. Anita might not be the better player overall but at least he gives a fuck. Anita also improved us for the last several games last season, looked far better than Janmaat. He gets forward a lot, but for so long all he's produced are hopeful floated crosses to nobody. Down the other end he's either not there or loses his man at the crucial moment. I don't know if he's just been found out or lost interest but either way I'm happy to see him go. Gets some more cash in for Rafa to spend in this window. TRon
That he's ended up at Watford tells the story. Happy to have got our money back as I just think he's a poor defender. Got all the tools to be far better except between the ears.

mozy
For all people say Janmaat is good going forwards, his starting position is far too high which means he's often just playing as a pseudo right winger. Plus inevitably he's caught out a lot going back the other way.
tmonkey
Janmaat is "decent" getting forward until he he has to put a cross in. Like many mediocre wide players hes completely unable to whip a cross in, instead only half heartedly floats a low cross in that gets easily cleared. This makes his OK build up play and forward movement completely pointless as all it leads to is him getting into crossing positions, which he then consistently wastes. Even Anita has been putting in better balls into the box. He had a short spell of good form attacking wise where he was getting forward, cutting inside and shooting hard and low, which he was fairly decent at (for a fullback) and resulted in him being an unexpected attacking threat (even if it didnt lead to goals), but we havent seen him do that for at least a year and a bit. Defensively he has been shocking, visibly not bothering to mark his man at times. Im happy to see the back of him.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Watford will go down this season imo. Hope they do now. The biggest problem is that the success of last season was largely based on the fantastic performances of Ighalo and Deeney, and I don't think either player is as good as they showed in the previous campaign. Ighalo especially seems to have continued his decline in form, badly missing good chances in the first two matches. It could be a good spot for Janmaat, however. I think he will benefit from playing with forwards who actually attack the ball and occupy centrebacks.
Stottie
Poor defender with suspect personality, but pretty good going forward (well, a year ago), so flatters to deceive. He could be useful in certain systems that provide ample cover. Shift the priority to defending though and he's easily replaceable. I would have thought his Dutch international reputation would have got him somewhere higher profile than Watford.
Doctor Zaius
Decent enough. Would have preferred to keep, but he was fairly close to ever present in our woeful side last season. Good going forward but literally cannot defend.

Theregulars
I think a lot of people are looking at this with a tainted view because it looks like he's rejecting us. For his first year, he was arguably our player of the season, looked very useful (more so as an attacking full-back, admittedly) and appeared to be spirited, committed and up for it. His performances have declined as the realisation set in for him that he was playing for a club with no ambition and that he was largely surrounded by dross/people not trying/shit management. That does not excuse the fact that he allowed the malaise to set in, but let's not pretend that he's a worse player than he is. I would definitely prefer to have Janmaat at RB this season over Anita or Yedlin. Gamez may well be better, I have not seen anywhere near enough of him. I suspect that playing for a team that actually tries to win games/competitions might show him off in a better light.
