Guest firetotheworks
He's athletic, like. Doesn't do much good without intelligence, awareness and genuine appetite and aptitude to score goals. This is what I meant a while ago when I said that he looks the part. LoveItIfWeBeatU
Diafra Sakho was less money and looks ten times the player Gomis would have cost nothing in transfer fees (obviously that's not taking Agent's fees and player signing on fees into account). Gomis doesn't get much game time at Swansea so maybe he isn't all that but at least he's a big lump up front. Pardew seems to instruct our players to punt the ball to the striker as if we've got Peter Crouch up front rather than Perez or the even shorter Armstrong. Gomis would probably have been more suited to Pardew's tactics.

samag
would play him against Man U. keep Perez fresh for Everton game.
Pilko
I wouldn't bother playing him in any match, we're better off investing the minutes in Armstrong who looks a better player already despite the fact he's not old enough to have a pint after the game yet. KaKa
would play him against Man U. keep Perez fresh for Everton game. We are getting hammered in both games. Rested or knackerd. Fresh or stale. Everyone playing. No one playing. Same result.
Skeletor
Even Adam Armstrong, who's barely played a Premiership game, showed him up at the weekend. I'd argue he should be behind Ferreyra too just on the basis that at least Ferreyra is an unknown quantity.
Kanj
I'd rather just see us play Chucky + Perez right now if Cisse can't play longer than 20 minutes and De Jong still being hurt.
Skeletor
That miss after Perez hit the post sums him up. No predatory instinct at all.
Varadi
Did the linesman flag him offside for that? If not it's surely one of the worst misses of all time.
r0cafella
This lad or Luuk de Jong? You have to choose one
aussiemag
Luuk de Jong, at least he contributed to some build up play. Rivière just looks garbage at everything.
Alberto2005
It came back at him very quickly tbf, definitely not one of the worst misses of all time
Guest neesy111
That wasn't even a miss for me, just bounced straight off him.

Yes he did, but should still have scored offside or not. Felt for him as he'd actually had a canny game and did very well to wriggle away along the byline and square for Cabella to fluff it. Greg
It wasn't even a chance man, it was so fast it just hit him, he had no time to react. It either goes in or it doesn't.
Newcastle Fan
That moment when he got robbed then nutmeged by Alcaraz.

duo
He's not even looked like scoring. Was a strange signing, had desperation written all over it - the lad was hardly prolific in Ligue 1.

sempuki
Not sure Keegan or Sir Bobby could have got anything out of him.
toontownman
Shocked we actually paid money for him. Still not sure what he offers. He does have pace.. And I think power but he looks clueless, with no idea what he should be doing or where he should be playing. In fairness to him he has only ever worked best as a second striker alongside a target man. We have always used him as the target man and he is clearly woefully short of confidence. Looks rubbish either way unfortunately.
