duo
Think he was like a rabbit in the headlights today, simply too keen and made some rash decisions, under the pressure of the occasion. That said, very strong physically, quick and I reckon he's going to be better than some think. With some decent service and others around him, he can do a job for us. That said we defo need someone more proven. i.e. Remy.

oldtype
He's fast and strong and doesn't look like a complete headless chicken. Kompany had him in his back pocket today, but he will do well against less classy defenders.
Disco
Suprised to see so many saying how strong he is. Thought he got muscled out of it a lot today albeit few defenders are as big as Kompany and wily as Demichelis.

Thought he got muscled out of it a lot today albeit few defenders are as big as Kompany and wily as Demichelis. Didn't bowl anyone over, but he's a scrapper and came away with a few balls he probably shouldn't have. Gave a good account of himself in that regard. His finishing though... Parsley
Suprised to see so many saying how strong he is. Thought he got muscled out of it a lot today albeit few defenders are as big as Kompany and wily as Demichelis. There was a moment in the first half when he rolled Kompany and got to the by-line. Completely fucked the cross up like, but he'll be a real handful for some of the defenders in the PL.

themanupstairs
I love the type of striker that he could develop into. His movement was very good, and he showed a few lovely turns. He is deceptively strong, and it was great to see Kompany fall flat on his arse a few times coming into contact with him. A bit of composure in front of goal, and we could be onto something decent here. Basically Leon Best MKII, and could be much much much better if he kicks on. samag
Looks an improvement on Shola.
AyeDubbleYoo
He only snatched at the one shot from way out because he had no support and a shot was his only option, then that one he flashed across goal a bit randomly. A bit early to draw any conclusions about his composure in front of goal IMO.
AyeDubbleYoo
In theory we won't always be as conservative as we are against Man City.
Unbelievable
I liked what I saw (composure in front of goal aside), but I do wonder if he's the type of striker you want to be relying on as the lone forward. He looks like somebody who could work well alongside a target man, or as an impact sub with his pace and strength. Here's hoping Chucky is more the type (and required quality) to lead the line. KaKa
First game in a new league, so I think his performance was encouraging. Many have looked far worse first time around that's for sure. Can I also just say, that I really appreciated the fact that he managed to make forward runs and stay onside.
Ikon
Gonna give him time before i say this and that. Looked pacey and strong though.
Mole_Toonfan
He reminds me quite a bit of Costa actually minus the goal threat. Technically not the greatest, strong, quick, aggressive and moves well. Shame about the seemingly lack of goalscoring.
The College Dropout
Ba was helped no end by partnering with Best btw. Riviere will need legitimate support in weeks to come,
NEEJ
He was trying too hard yesterday and it showed. Very promising I thought though.

Village Idiot
Costa flourished as Falcao's support until he found new shooting boots. For what little I saw of yesterday's game this lad looked a potentially good SS.

For what little I saw of yesterday's game this lad looked a potentially good SS. Agreed. I wanted to do a Leon Best comparison yesterday but they don't really have similar games except looking like a good second striker. Best was handy outside the box, decent strength and link-up play but he was actually pretty composed in front of goal when chances came his way. Riviere looks probably more livelier outside the box. sixx
He is strong. He outmuscled Kompany at least on two occasions which is not to expect in a Premier League debut. Other than that Kompany had him covered all yesterday, which was to expect. Looking forward to see more of him, especially if he gets some assistance from de Jong. John P
Looks to me like he will contribute well in holding the ball up, bringing people into play and working the channels. No doubt he will chip in with a few goals here and there too, but we've got to hope that De Jong is going to contribute a lot of goals too because I don't think this guy is going to be banging them in every week. James
Might be ok with 2 up top but as a lone striker he is shit.
