Wullie
Had to listen to this on the radio driving home from work - Cabella tracked back and made an interception, commentator goes 'Now you see there, you would NEVER EVER see that from Hatem Ben arfa.' :anguish: Fucking Mick Lowes man. He was shit at Villa last season tbf.
Big Geordie
Thought we kept the ball on the deck a little bit more than usual, but it seems Pardew will be happy with the point he set us up for. Where are the goals going to come from, as I said in the match thread? He's still a very negative manager, regardless of how he and his supporters try to dress it up. Paully
Just leaving the ground - Colback and Colo our picks - total negative shit - lots of HBA songs - fuck off Pardew
SEMTEX
Well that was everything that this regime wants. We will score through individual brilliance and/or luck and scrape enough 1-0 wins to get ourselves solidly in 12th place. Living the fucking dream. Disco
Today was what at least half our home games will be like btw, when we can't break down and don't attack enough against teams playing for the point and breakaway/set-piece goal - just like it was last season against the dross. afar
Villa were terrible, really bad, Stoke need to worry if that team can beat you. That's just not good enough from Pardew and NUFC.
Gallowgate Toon
Absolutely grim that he subbed off Ayoze, like. Fucking Gouffran managed to stay on despite doing nowt but dwindle on the ball in good areas, miss easy chances and pass it back to his full back. Raconteur
Second half was better than first but not anything to write home with. Still so blunt I can't see us doing anything but struggle this season. Krul - 6 Wasn't really tested Janmaat - 8 Like him a lot Colo - 7 Had a good game I thought Willo - 6 Not sure can blame him to much for red tbh, should have scored really Dummet - 5 Really uninispiring player Sissoko - 6 Started brightly but faded Colback - 6 Decent job in midfield, no creativity though Anita - 6 Did ok but again helps us in possession, nothing going forward Gouffran - 4 Did some good tracking back, so Pardew will think he was motm Riviere - 1 Rubbish Cabella - 6 Showed good stuff at times, but sloppy first half and really should have scored De Jong - 7 Liked what we saw Perez - n/a didn't see enough then got hauled off for some reason Captain Fistpumps - 0 Fuck off please Pardew - Piss off. Harsh. Okay, so he never looked like scoring, but the ball stuck to him pretty well - unlike a certain Shola Ameobi, and unfortunately that's a skill we need under A. Pardew's stewardship. He wasn't great and he missed a decent half-chance, but he wasn't the worst player on the pitch, or even the worst of our supposed "attacking quartet". Dave
Been any discussion about the dismal attendance today? Over 12,500 empty seats; only 70% full. The football on show was awful mind, so clearly they made the right decision. But it doesn't quite fit the Premier League's profile.

Gallowgate Toon
Also, Villa were minging. They better hope Benteke comes back in to some decent form when he gets fit again. We at least had a semi-excuse of some new players adapting. Pardew-esque tactics from Lambert too. I swear he was much more positive when Norwich manager. Fair play to them, an equivalent attendance at SJP would be less than 37k. Our lowest in the top flight for a long time I'd imagine.
