After years of suffering Pardball, why would you go out of your way to see some more. Chances are he will do quite well initially too.

Because it's going to go so badly.

I may check their results where I previously wouldn't have, but voluntarily watching more of his front foot football, fuck that

Alan Pardew is expected to be confirmed as Crystal Palace boss in due course - and will start work on Friday morning.

The Londoner was in the crowd at Villa Park for the 0-0 draw between Aston Villa and the Eagles today.

And his start date was confirmed by caretaker Keith Millen, who said “I think so, I don’t think he would have been at the game if there was a problem, he wouldn’t have been sitting in the stands.

“We are preparing for Alan to come in tomorrow to start working.

“We have a big game against Dover on Sunday so we have to get our heads around that one.

“I kept the lads in the know from what I knew from the chairman.

“Before the game when we left the hotel we weren’t sure but then I got a message to say Alan was coming.”

But Pardew has yet to meet his new team.

Millen said: “He didn’t have any input during the game or before but he came in after and was pleased and proud with what he saw.

“He said we need to add more to our game to score more goals and win football matches but it’s a good start for Alan to see us.’’

No going back really, why they are taking so long to announce it is beyond me.
