Mattoon
Gives him far more praise and credit than he deserves IMO. I thought this too, it was a balanced piece that rightly brought up inadequacies but felt like it was holding back too much, didn't get everything he deserved but it's refreshing to see an article that doesn't look like it's taken it's facts from wiki. Tiresias
Seeing a journalist write that we wanted him gone cos we haven't enjoyed watching the team for 18 months is a breath of fresh air. I have rarely heard anyone commenting on us even approach how we played as a reason for the malaise over St James

Kanji
He stuck around because he has no professional pride. He was a shit manager who had a team full of talent under perform. He couldn't win a derby to save his life. He got bummed over and over every single season. He usually goes on 1 win streak a season, 2 losing streaks and limps rest of way around. He insults his fans. He insults and belittles his players. He thinks he's a genius. He's not. He fucking sucks. He's a fraud. I can't wait to see him get hated by his beloved small time palace fans at the end. No place to hide after that.
mrmojorisin75
This Palace gig is so predictable. He'll have a honeymoon period and probably keep them up but in the next 1-2 seasons they'll either be down or he'll be sacked before he takes them down at which point it'll be the fact he wasn't given enough 'quality'
nufcjb
I couldn't care less about how he lives his ego maniac life now but the only time he will be relevant is when we go there later next month. I sure's hell hope we beat the crap out of his team just to see what excuse he will spout. Most probably the 'new manager bounce' shit he usually says. toon25
Getting praise from Ian Dennis on MOTD2 Extra for what he did here Always liked him too. Ian Dennis is a right twat. Has been a Pardew apologist for ages. The guy took no notice of the facts or statistics and can remember him shouting down a caller on 606 for stating the obvious fact that Pardew's win record in 2014 was absolutely atrocious. My problem with Pard-ewe was that he didn't do anything with the assets he was given and always focused on what he didn't have. It was like he was given a nice filet-mignon but only made hamburgers with it because it wasn't chicken.

Twinport53
Poor lad. It's like KI trying to explain to that palace forum last week. Even though we know our club better than anybody, we are infact 100% wrong. Laughable.
Yorkie
"Fantastic professionals here. This comment is shite: James M • 13 hours ago What a pathetic article from Luke Edwards sanctioned by the Telegraph ?!!! Full of contradictions and clearly a piece that is full of sour grapes !! Reading the article you would not believe it was written by a broadsheet journalist rather than a tawdry red top rag hack. Just for the record and for those that might not know Luke Edwards is banned from St James Park and quite rightly so. I do not believe that "most" Newcastle fans wanted Pardew out, there were NOT thousands of Pardew out banners or leaflets on display (although someone did go to the lengths and cost of printing 1000's of those leaflets) lol ?! Most sensible level headed people could see that Pardew was employed in a coaching capacity and had no say in how the club was run he simply had to accept his lot at NUFC. Ashley runs the club similar to how he operates his businesses, everything has a price and everything is for sale. The yearly transfer budget does not compare to other clubs in terms of budget to income ratio. The marketing income does not compare to other clubs with the same general turnover due to Ashley hijacking SJP and using it as a billboard for all his other businesses particularly Sports bloody Direct !! So for the avoidance of doubt, Pardew had his hands firmly tied behind his back

The College Dropout
Not a terrible comment at all. Edwards views are biased. Doesn't mean they don't have any value but clearly biased. Most Newcastle fans (e.g. the ones that attend matches) seemed indifferent to Pardew. Certainly not hated. He only started getting abuse when we where bottom of the league after a number of games. Hear more moans at Goodison after drawing at home while they where midtable. The Leicester protest was so weak. Pardew largely had the crowd on his side. Ashley does run the club like SD. Our income is less than it should be because he takes it for SD for free and that greatly limits our transfer pot. Pardew was never allowed to build a side in his image (thank God) which is inefficient given our resources. End up wasting money on players that just aren't his bag.
