AP: "It was a shame Rolando got a knock but he's played his way into contention." #nufc

Lee Ryder @lee_ryder  ·  9m

Pardew: "The scoreline didn't affect our dominance. This is a very difficult place to come but we controlled it." #nufc

Taking bets on who fucked up here, Pardew or Ryder?

???

How could a scoreline affect dominance? One of the two morons was looking for the word reflect.

I was going to berate Pardew for that but then I realised it was a Lee Ryder tweet

Another game that makes it blindingly obvious we're crying out for a striker

We scored, they didn't. What more can you possibly want than that? Wind your neck in.

Sorry man. I'll go have a word with myself.

There's a good lad.

*pats on head*

*receives eight match ban*

Ignoring the striker issue for a moment, we had more than 60% of the ball and only managed 5 shots on target and 10 shots in total.

A striker would be great, but there's a real fundamental issue of creating chances with what ever possession we have.

Quite frankly it's even more apparent than the lack of proven goalscorer is. This against a league 1 side no less, it's not really about where is the goals going to come from? But more about where is the chances going to come from?

The comparisons to last season are plentiful, very similar start but then HBA bailed him out against Fulham. Also in last season's home game against Palace HBA came off the bench and again bailed him out providing the assist for Cisse's goal.

The point I'm making is the way we are playing now we get the ball wide a lot. Cabella is being doubled up on already because there is no point in marking Dummett, and if Gouffran's over that side then again, you may aswell just let him cut inside and hit it off you as that is what always happens. Alternatively, Janmaat gets forward and either crosses to one person or cuts inside and shoots due to lack of alternatives. HBA would really be the ideal man to be playing wide right in this formation, we've had plenty of the ball and could do with his magic in lieu of a goalscoring striker. Unfortunately, we're managed by a fuckwit, so I'm looking forward to Saturday's 0-0.

The team is desperate for HBA. Sadly we're going to get more Gouff and Obertan...
