From a kit nonce perspective everything about it is perfect before factoring in the team that wore it. The balance between black and white, the thickness and the amount of stripes, a perfect example of a sponsor making a kit look even better and the number and name sets were lush as well. (Though that's just me personally: I really am not a fan of red numbers. Would rather see us go back to blue a la 2003-05 than have red but they seem set to stay.) I also had this shirt when I was a kid ,it was my second favourite kit after the classic 96 one. it will always live in my memory as the shirt that was worn when one of the best goals I’ve ever seen in St Jame’s Park happened.
