I didn't realize Castore did Rangers and Wolves too. Also Andy Murray, McLaren F1.

They're doing Sevilla and Leverkusen from next season too.

They're bigger than I thought.

South Africa and West Indies in cricket aswell

A fitting last act from Ashley to give us this kit sponsor. The quality to price disparity is so poor.

Anyone know for sure how much longer we have with Fun88? Or at least how long we're supposed to have? Given the Saudi's thoughts on gambling I imagine they will likely be paid off at the end of the season so they can stick Saudi Golf/Airlines/Massage Chairs or some such on the front of the tops.

i am very definitely an old stick in the mud about this but as far as i'm concerned we've not had a home shirt worthy of the name since 04/05 (maybe maybe at a push i'll accept 09/10, and all the snide-yet-overpriced tesco two-stripe shite in the world isn't going to do owt about it.

fuck em off and get a proper multinational sporting conglomerate people have heard of who can make a shirt that is just black-and-white stripes without any unnecessary twatty shite on it.

You want a foot locker uniform then?

Castore opening a club shop in the metro centre. Looks like castore are here to stay for now

I'm not being pedantic here but is it a club shop or a Castore shop that will sell Newcastle along with other ranges of their clothing? The two are completely different as we wouldn't call Niketown on Oxford Street, London, a Liverpool club shop. Going off the image in the article above, I can't see anything that's black & white.

One of my reasons for asking, not related to Newcastle, is that I think Castore are trying to exploit a hole in the market by Nike & Adidas trying to promote sales through their websites and only working with a small select group of retailers; certainly when it comes to selling their premium products. Ashley has complained about their strategy and last year Nike stopped selling their goods on Amazon in the US.

It's the changes in the sports market above that makes me believe Ashley has something to do with Castore. It would be too difficult to turnaround his existing brands and turn them into a premium sports brand so I would not be surprised at all if he is one of the major players behind Castore in trying to establish them as a premium sports brand. Handing over complete control of our merchandise, an area where he specialises, to Castore was very suspicious. Did he still have control of merchandise at Rangers too when Castore took over?

Yeah, I don’t like that any shop belongs to our kit maker. It should be a club shop, owned and run by the club.

Needs a plentiful supply of mugs, keyring, prints and all that shite. Not just clothes.

Pretty sure that started (whether officially or not) under Adidas. Definitely remember the club shop at the ground selling loads of non-NUFC adidas gear and a large range of trainers, as I bought pairs of trainers there when on offer.

I dont think it matters who the shop 'belongs' to as long as the club is getting its proper cut from NUFC branded merchandise and kits, etc, which we can be sure they weren't when it was owned/run by SD.

100%, the club shops that were in Monument Mall and near the exit to Northumberland street in Eldon Square used sell a right load of Newcastle related tat back in the day:D I would also say that pretty much 100% of the stuff they sold were Newcastle related. Just going off the image in the article, that is not a club shop. It's a Castore shop selling Newcastle gear along with other parts of their range.

Nothing wrong with that and as long we get our rightful share then I am not too concerned but it does mean that ultimately we are still losing out as the "mugs, keyring, prints and all that shite" do eventually add up to a bit of money that we are losing out on. As I say, nothing major in the grand scheme of things but I do hope we eventually do get a few real club shops like we used to have pre-Ashley.

You should see the Spurs superstore in their new ground, think I’ve mentioned it before. It’s massive, probably about the size of somewhere like WH Smith in Newcastle. Packed on a matchday with people buying 100s of billions of pounds of stuff.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but..

Does anybody have any old 90s/early 00s shirts/training gear they are willing to part with? Been after the burgundy brown ale sweatshirt for a long time but no luck as of yet. I have a built a decent little collection so would consider anything anybody had. Size XL/XXL ideally :)

See the club shop has the Newcastle hoodies back in stock for £65.

Sure they were 100+?

There is two different ones, one was £65, and the other which looked nicer was £165 and was used in the Willock announcement video.

Makes more sense.

I've seen this version on my brother in a different colour, pretty weird windstopper material almost. Feel like I want one just because it says Newcastle, mindless consumer [emoji38]
