Precisely nothing. The press et al can bang on all they want about this current England side. Simple fact is they have still won jack s*** and whilst they may be eminently more likeable than other recent sides of the 2000's until they win something it is the same old same old. Lot of promise and bluster but short on the qualities required to deliver something. You cannot dominate play at this level and miss so many chances. It will always bite your arse. A lot of our issue today is Kane being pretty average. He made a lot of space for the wingers in the first half but now Croatia have dropped deep he’s not really doing much (aside from that assist). I have watched utter shite win major tournaments in my lifetime, and watched much more gifted England squads and teams fail time and time again. Not winning is ultimate failure, but not performing up to your 'par' standard is just as much a failure and we are masters at it.
