If you have a decent pool of players playing as a team you can compensate for not being brilliant tactically. Deschamps is a good example of not needing to be the 'best' manager. Then add in our injured/omitted young players -- CHO, Loftus-Cheek, Shaw, Maddison, Wan bissaka.
