Guest Howaythetoon
Given vs Phillips was special like and I seem to remember Pav making an absolutely outrageous save for us in 93-94 - can't remember who it was against unfortunately. England though... we have to accept that this side and these players together are a mid-table team basically. We need to rethink how we see the game, how we operate the game and most importantly how we play the game because it isn't working and hasn't since '66 when we were last a major power. Guest firetotheworks
Higuita Scorpian Kick I'm sure that the flag was up for offside and he knew it.

Everton 94/5 from Limpar if it's the one I'm thinking.

I can't remember what kind of shot it was, but he was going the wrong way then somehow went the right way before pushing the ball away maybe even for a corner. I'm sure the commentator mentioned Banks. Might have been BBC Newcastle Radio.

HaydnNUFC
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football-srnicek-wins-folk-hero-status-1526293.html Was 95/6. There's a chapter describing that exact save in Touching Distance.

Tooj
I'd mention Schmeichel against Rapid Vienna for best save I've seen like.

Pilko
Steve Harper's late save at Portman Road in the last Championship season when we won 0-4. The one that was preceded by the shout "tiiiiiiiiiiiimbeeeeeeeeeeeer!"
M4
Loved David Seaman. The fact that save happened in the twilight of his career plus he was never know for his acrobatics anyway made it all the better. Great moment for him.
Ronaldo
It's a shame Seaman is know by our generation and onwards primarily for the ludicrous ponytail and misjudgement against Brazil because he was an outstanding goalkeeper.
Scoot
Seaman always got a good reception from our crowd when he came to St James' park with Arsenal and rightly so. I used to sit behind the goal in the leazes end and he always got a warm round of applause when he ran over to the goal before the game kicked off. Don't think I've come across anyone who didn't think Seaman was anything other than a master of his art like.
Ronaldo
Well I'm glad to hear that. Too many people I've spoken to, admittedly 30 or younger, are surprised when I talk about him being the last great English keeper. Tim Flowers would've made pretty much every England Xl since, too. HawK
Nayim, from the half way line.. Nayim, from the half way line.. That's the first thing that comes to mind with Seaman, with that and Ronaldinho's free kick, he's been spectacularly lobbed at least twice.
