Ikon
Yeah it would be a decent and fair deal. I just think he would score 15+ goals in the Championship under Rafa and that would take us a long way.
HaydnNUFC
I'd keep him. Don't really like him as a person (atm) but i rate him and i think Rafa can get the best out of him. He will score goals for us, no doubt about that, especially now when we'll probably create more chances and have more possession. Can't see us getting a replacement even near as good as him. We need goals and he will give us that I'm sure we have enough money to strengthen the positions that Rafa wants anyway. Money in the bank itself wont get us promoted. Agreed. 1878
We're supposed to be trying to sign Mata this summer and already have Barkley. Those two and Wijnaldum couldn't play together. I can see Wijnaldum being a fall back option in case Mata goes elsewhere.
STM
Had we stayed up, I reckon Benitez would have signed Mata.
Kanj
Imagine the quality we'll be after in the PL (if/when we return)
triggs
Had we stayed up, I reckon Benitez would have signed Mata. Don't think he's a Rafa type player at all
The College Dropout
Had we stayed up, I reckon Benitez would have signed Mata. Don't think he's a Rafa type player at all As a #10 I can see it. He tends to give 1 player free reign in his team. Stevie G, Aimar, Bale/Cristiano for example
Fenham Mag
Not in any of the training pictures either...
Chrisjraby
Everton are trying to get 50 million for John Stones, so hopefully a sizeable chunk of that can be spent on Wijnaldum

Greg
Not in any of the training pictures either... What? He said "Not in any of the training pictures either..." I was wondering if he was getting at something else. Clearly just blind as a bat then.
Ankles Bennett
If spurs really want him it's time Daniel Levy saw his chickens come home to roost. He played hardball when we bought Townsend so let's do the same to him. You want him the price is £30m period.
Ikon
I think he will stay and i would be happy about it.
Guest
Could see him going in January actually. If he gets us the goals and points on the board, fair do.
Shelveys Hair
Think Howard Gayle could have been a regular to Amsterdam's red light district? http://i65.tinypic.com/16a6r6g.png
Ikon
Some nice goals yesterday. I liked his one as well, so composed
Odear
He looks away in fairness but would be happy to give him a second chance if he didn't sulk and cause bad vibes.
Ikon
There doesn't seem to have been any bids so far for him or Sissoko. (not by the sounds of it) Media saying this and that club fighting for their signatures (BS). Why fight? Pay up

Tubestationatmidnight
Not a Liverpool type player at all but if they want to pay over the odds for him crack on. We can get a good centre half and a winger or striker with the money.

Tubestationatmidnight
Hopefully Krul Sissoko and jaanmat to follow. Can manage without all of them and if we invest the money wisely should piss the league and be in profit with transfers.
Andy84
Let's Just get this done. The speculation is boring and will drag on and on until he does go. Sell and let us get on with strengthening the side
junkhead
We should get a good fee from Liverpool. Hopefully this goes ahead.
