LFEE
I actually think he did well, when dropped deeper. The game suited him by then, as Leicester had started to sit back, so he managed to get on the ball more in space. He's probably our best dribbler of the ball and he's pretty quick. Always seems to turn out of trouble, as well. He still doesn't get involved away from home, in the supposed no.10 role that he starts in. He ends up in no man's land, between Mitro and the midfield. I don't know what the answer is. I still feel we're not utilising him properly. But at the same time, he goes missing and it has to be down to him, as well. KaKa
Remember him playing quite a deep midfield role for the Netherlands a little while back. I don't know what we do with this guy tbh. All I know is we need to stop playing hi behind the striker. Perez is far more dangerous and versatile there.

BleedBlackAndWhite
He just looks totally devoid of ANY confidence for me. He was sold a dream when he came here, he was the captain of PSV and I think this season has just destroyed his enthusiasm, I really don't think he knew what he was in for. When he picks up the ball he looks up, thinks about going forward/playing a pass, then loses confidence in his ability, turns around and plays a pass back or just switches play. Hopefully with Rafa in charge, we win enough games to stay up, Rafa sorts out the squad a bit and we see what this kid can do under the guidance of an actual manager. Tooj
Doesn't look as fit as say he did against Man Utd a few months ago when he was zipping across the pitch.
ExiledGeordie
He needs to find some form if we're to stay up
Minhosa
Doesn't look as fit as say he did against Man Utd a few months ago when he was zipping across the pitch. Agree with this. I think his first season in english football is catching up with him.

Kanj
He slows things down far too often. Which really hasn't been the way I remember him at PSV. Don't know if it's lack of movement or just lack of confidence. He will develop under Rafa - maybe he is capable of moving further back.

Minhosa
If we were sitting in mid-table, safe, I'd almost certainly give him a month out to recover and go again, looking finish the season on a high. He looked whacked against Leicester in the second half.

Guest Hog
Just saw this chant "Gini is a Geordie he comes from Geordie town and if he scores a worldie I'll let him shag me mam!"
Figures 1-0 Football
Come on Gini lad, earn your corn today!
Mr Logic
Bloke's a class act, he just doesn't belong in our half. Should always be on the team sheet in an advanced role.
SMTW
I know he doesn't like it, but I think he's more effective out wide where he can create something or come in to score when it's on the opposite flank. I'd start with him and Townsend as the wide men next match.
triggs
I hate him playing in the middle

TRon
I thought him and Townsend were our best players tbh. He was a lot more involved in the middle although defensively we lose some bite.
Guest firetotheworks
Sunderland's defensive mid was comfortably man of the match like, he absolutely bossed the midfield and they looked much worse when he went off for Cattermole.
triggs
Maybe just switch him and Moussa? Aye was thinking that. Think Moussa could be good in midfield if limited to a sitting ball winning role
Kanj
Maybe just switch him and Moussa? Aye was thinking that. Think Moussa could be good in midfield if limited to a sitting ball winning role Nah you play him in the box to box role, where he's getting up and down the pitch. He'd be far more of presence there than Gini. Shelvey in the same exact role he played today. Gini out wide or somewhere else in attack.
Gallowgate Toon
Annoyingly safe, today. He dribbled through their ranks very dangerously a few times and then just seemed to stop doing it and started just passing it sideways a lot. Wasn't great defensively, either. I'd persist with him at CM, tbh.
triggs
For quite a talented footballer, he is ridiculously conservative in his passing like. Just passes it to the guy nearest to him basically every time
