Oh gawd we have let Siem near a moving aeroplane...

That's the end of him then.

'It is with deep sadness that Newcastle United announce the sad demise of Siem de Jong.  On the way to la manga the plane suffered a bout of mild turbulence which resulted in Siem losing a limb and passing away.  A doctor tried to restart his heart which accidently fell into a bowl of peas and was indistinguishable from the popular garden vegetable'

In the case of a first degree sprain, sporting activities should not be undertaken for about 3 weeks.

For second degree sprains, the rehabilitation period will be between 6 and 8 weeks. Rehabilitation under the supervision of a chartered physiotherapist is desirable to prevent a recurrence of the injury, which can be common if a return to sport is attempted too early.

In the case of a third degree sprain, where the ligament is completely ruptured, the treatment of choice is surgery to repair the structure.

Knee injury and out for a few weeks, maybe a month? There's no way McClaren can get us out of the hole with this now. Sack McClaren and get someone who will know how to compensate not having Mitro now. McClaren won't have a fucking clue what to do.

McClarens get out of jail card - got an excuse now for a few more games.

Aye, our striker who's not scoring goals is injured. That's a great out of jail card.

He's our main goal threat and he did score against West Brom.  Goals aside his hold up play has been good.  So yeah...him being injured is a get out of jail card.
