I don't blame them for the ACLs happening, but the fact that both Lascelles and Batman were allowed to play on having torn ACLs is totally incomprehensible to me. Expand I'm a few cases you don't know what the damage is until scanned, some players jog off thinking its next to nothing, some need a stretcher. Expand let’s disregard Wilson for a minute because he’s the injury prone Pele and he has been that way most of his career. we have an entire team dedicated to these things. Eddie isn’t a doctor or a physio. It’s up to the players to be very honest about their injury situation and the medical staff to not clear them until they are sure they have made a full recovery. I’d be more inclined to think it’s on the players or the medical staff. it’s not like Eddie is coming in and telling players to play before they are ready? More likely players who want to be back on the pitch asap so they say they are 100% when they know they are only 90%. Pretty common thing across all sports. IF you want to blame Eddie for this you could point at him not rotating the squad (which he can’t due to lack of quality). You could mention our high intensity pressing style. Even our intense pre-seasons and potential overtraining. But there are tons of teams in the top leagues who do all of the above and haven’t been hit with an injury crisis of biblical proportions like we have.. Expand Maybe not ACLs (can't remember the exact details) but the game is littered with players who've played on for a bit of only later find out it was a serious injury.
