Almost everyone but Newcastle fans rate Rooney higher than Shearer like. Not as a striker but as a player. As a striker it's Shearer, as a player it's laughably one-sided in Rooney's favour. Rooney will come close to his goal haul while not even playing as a striker for years and years.

So much bollocks in the post, I do like how you're calling us biased, when you are doing the exact same thing

Also how often do fans of other clubs have a debate on who's better, my guess would be hardly ever

Shearer also played for Newcastle for the majority of his career, not a team that was dominant

Just no. Shearer was a better player than what Rooney is.

Shearer would have played for us too if he had the balls to take the step up.

Ever since you had a mare regarding Di Maria, your posts have been pretty awful. Maybe I didn't notice it before.

Almost everyone but Newcastle fans bum the fuck out of Alan Pardew. Basically it's completely irrelevant, more so because you just made it up

To get fucking deadly serious for a minute though, it's a no contest. Rooney can probably ping a crossfield ball to a winger better but that's about it.

Rooney is more versatile and can do more things well than Shearer could, yeah.

But would you rather have a world class striker or a very good one who can play in a few other positions if needed?

Suppose he's better than the Brazilian Ronaldo too? That guy was an unstoppable striker, but you wouldn't see him drop back and protect the defense if needed would you?!

Rooney is world class in two positions. Add in the work rate and you have a better player than Shearer.

You mother f***ers don't even rate Solskjaer.

There's something wrong with you.

He's not a world class striker anymore based on this performance

And Shearer's 4 seasons in the old Division 1 don't count to his goal tally either. So he only played 14 seasons in the PL, 2 of which were right offs due to injury.

This will be Rooney's 14th season in the PL and he's not even hit 30 yet
