Why do Portugal always arrange friendlies against pub sides?

Cape Verde is a colonial thing, they play them fairly often.

Luxembourg have a large Portuguese population for some reason, about 20% of the population IIRC. So that might explain this one.

Uruguay look like they mean business this time around. 2-0 up vs Chile after dismantling Bolivia away (never easy) and Colombia at home. Still look solid at the back but actually have a few goals in them now, an improvement on the total dross they've served up in recent years.

Edit: 3-0. Chile from set pieces are hilariously bad.

Just got in from England vs France. One of the most emotional games I've ever been to. The stadium rendition of La Marseillaise was beautiful.  :smitten:

There's nothing quite like the beautiful game, unites people like nothing I've ever experienced.

Karren Brady: Olympic Stadium gives West Ham bragging rights over Tottenham

“Of course we want to beat Spurs on Sunday but the London Mayor’s praise is worthier bragging rights.”

Thats why people like her shouldn't be in football, bragging rights arn't about what goes on in the board room. What goes happens on the pitch is more important.
