La Liga 19/20 - Premier Sports acquire exclusive UK TV rights

Recommended Posts

Some guys that I work for have run a simulation of the current La Liga TV deal, and Marca has published the results:

http://www.marca.com/2015/12/03/multimedia/graficos/1449131702.html

Left side is the old TV money, right side is the money given under the new collective contract. Note that Real Madrid and Barça lose €30m each.

First column on the right: fixed TV money.

Second column on the right: prize money.

Third column on the right: awarded through TV audience and stadium attendance (this one is obviously rigged so Barça and Madrid keep some advantage)

The season isn't finished, so they are using last season's results for the prize money calculation.

Overall figures are set to increase next season, since the new contract is expected to boost TV revenues by around 50%.

The daft cunt thought he was cleverer than he is. Needed to softly softly it away from Ancelotti's style instead of going full rigidity straight away. Trying his best to get sacked in the Clasico was a low move too. Despite that...throw money to get him in here.

Odd sacking IMO. Not like they're doing that horrific, they'll get top four easily and Rafa has a good record in Europe, not like anyone they can find now will do any better. Bad appointment in the first place though but don't know why they wouldn't just leave it until the summer

They are Real Madrid though, anything less than winning the thing is considered failure. So Top 4 would be considered a disaster probably.

Didn't Ancelotti finish 3rd the year he won the Champions League though? Not like they were playing that bad either
