Colos Short and Curlies
Didn't he have a hand in all 4 goals when Swansea drew 2-2 with Liverpool?
triggs
Quite like him but he's an absolute liability defensively like
hakka
Thought he was woeful for first 5 mins when he came on. Seemed to be ok come the end. He can't defend in the middle at all though. He needs two DM's protect him else he's a massive risk.
AyeDubbleYoo
Yep, clear as day he can't play in a midfield two, least of all with Colback.
Hanshithispantz
He's just not what we need at the minute, Wijnaldum's the same. If we stay up and actually build a balanced side he might be a better option but I'd start Colback ahead of him until the end of the season.
colinmk
Can't stand him, rare to see a player at that level with so little awareness of positioning and opposition.
TRon
Can't stand him, rare to see a player at that level with so little awareness of positioning and opposition. Pretty much my feelings about the bloke as well. He's a luxury player and it's not what we need in this position. Awful signing.
Varadi
Big call by Rafa to drop him today, but it was 100% the correct call, think he'll be benched for the rest of the season now.

hakka
What a difference an actual manager can make. Brave and knowledgeable enough to drop players or take them off. Good to see him take Wijnaldum off too today. He wasn't deserving to stay on.
Cronky
Shelvey reminds me of Nicky Butt, with this pattern of losing possession by playing the pass that was only possible half a second before.

Awful signing. was marking fresh air most of the time he was on the pitch and we weren't in possession. good call by rafa, not afraid to drop big names and reputations so hopefully Gini is next. Gallowgate Toon
Didn't agree with dropping him but it worked for team shape. He could be a really good player, I have hope he can be a good all-rounder under Rafa.
Ashley17
I'm just not sure how he's ever going to fit in if he needs two in there with him, unless you're going to play him in the 10 position but there's half the squad who seem to prefer to play in that role. TRon
I thought our worst passage of play coincided with when he came on. In the first half Norwich barely had a shot in anger, after he replaced Tiote, suddenly there was gaps all over the place and they had three great chances to score which if they'd taken could have wrecked this game. He's the Steven Taylor of midfield, lots of pointing and not much else.
Sifu
The main issue with Shelvey is once he has no space to work with, he's pretty useless. This weakness has been exploited quite a lot recently so it was the right call to drop him today imo. It's certainly come to the point that he shouldn't be starting our remaining games. AyeDubbleYoo
He hasn't been a good signing at all, needs loads of time and space when attacking and it's like he's not there when we're defending. Maybe he can improve but I would be playing him at the moment.

Leazes_End_Mag
Didn't agree with the decision to drop him but it worked 100%. We looked far weaker defensively as soon as Tiote went off.
Mr Logic
I'm not rating Shelvey. If we can't control the game he's a luxury. If you're in a relegation scrap he looks like a luxury also. Wouldn't play him again this season unless something dramatic changed.

Begbie
Sooooo slooooow. Slow motion technique and slow motion running. So far he is worse than i thought, think he would be good in the championship.
sh74
He's more of a number 10,just add him to the list of number 10s in the squad.
