In the programme for tonights game The actual comments sounded pretty savage when read out on Sky, something along the lines of "He can be the best trainer but when his head isn't right he let's it affect him too much and is the worst" Jamal taking candour to a whole new level lately. He's not agile or skillful enough to be a number 10 Late to the the conversation but I agree with this. If the team and the manager are supportive of Lascelles with this, then Shelvey is finished here. This kind of thing is said all of the time, i haven't watched it in years but it used to be on soccer am every week, pretty sure match day programmes up and down the country feature similar 'banter' interviews like that. The reason it's been raised is because it's lascelles that has said it, and shelvey has just been dropped. It's insensitive in that sense, but other than that, it's just another pretty pointless player interview. I wouldn't read too much into it, personally.
