How can you realistically and accurately prove something like this? I would imagine the FA having access to different angles and video feeds etc... but even then, do they bring in specialist lip readers or something?

One word against another, and did the team mate of the alleged victim not say something on the pitch there and then? Don't recall anyone mentioning any kick offs etc....

Weird one.

So, he's been reported by another Wolves player as the player he was 'abusing' couldn't understand what had been said. The FA must have some pretty good expert lip reading evidence to back this up, otherwise I can't see how they can pursue this and if it's taken almost 2 months to get this far there has to be doubt. If he's guilty he gets what he deserves but there's a good chance he's going to be judged on hearsay.

We are walking away with the league. What's that now 7 wins in a row? They had to do something to make it a bit more exciting. If he's out for 5 games that's a huge blow because he's been our most important player this season. Hopefully he denies it and the case collapses due to lack of evidence.

What I don't get is hoe there was no kick offs from what I remember with Shelvey in particular. Even if the said player didn't understand it surely the one who did whmoudl have had something to say? Don't really get why a player would be racist anyway...not this day in age.

when the FA charge you with something it is nigh on impossible to avoid the punishment a 99.6% conviction rate a few years ago
