NJS
stupid yellow card through petty behaviour , you clap your hands at the ref and you know what's coming Unless you play for Man Utd or Chelsea of course.

sbnufc
He was man marked by Villa today. After HT they gave it up I assume cause they needed a goal, and it was no coincidence he was miles better 2nd half. Had so much more time on the ball. Was back to taking the p*ss More so we we scored late on in the first half and they basically folded ? Bit of both. They'd do well to man-mark him and push to score goals and beat us. Lansbury was following him around everywhere first half, soon as the 2nd started he didnt
ujpest doza
Outstanding 2nd half today, best he's played in ages.
Newcastle Fan
He was really good second half, only wished one of those shots was struck more properly and went in.

Looks like he's after a new boot deal.

TRon
He had a bit of a patchy game today, but while I didn't think much of him previously, he's grown on me a lot this season. Maybe it's the lack of composure from so many of our other players under pressure, but I really like how he always manages to find some space and usually a precision pass. One of those players who could easily waste his talent somewhere else, but under Rafa could go on to be a really top Premier midfielder.

One of those players who could easily waste his talent somewhere else, but under Rafa could go on to be a really top Premier midfielder. I thought he was immense today in doing what he did. It wasn't his usual game but it was one that he performed brilliantly and he was always trying to break up their play. It was good to see him doing the dirty part of the game and getting stuck in and for most of the time maintaining his discipline.
xLiaaamx
He's no longer a luxury you have in there for that one moment of brilliance. He does everything.

Guest Howaythetoon
That ball he played over the top for Murphy's goal was really hard to execute technically, ball of the season for me. To get that height and that reach and on a dime too... is special. He sure can pass a ball. If only he had mor space and more dynamism... he actually played well last night despite being pressed and marked a lot.
huss9
he played well. more of an all round midfeld performance rather than just his usual (exelllent) hollywood passes.

Minhosa
he played well. more of an all round midfeld performance rather than just his usual (exelllent) hollywood passes. Agree with this. Possibly the 'ugliest' he's been asked to play for us before and he did it very well tbf. Dictated the play even from a much deeper position.

Ritchie's pass to Atsu against Brighton is one of the best I've ever seen, the way it looks like he just whacks it but it's an inch perfect pass is just incredible.
