Jayson
Makes sense for them to prioritize premier league safety & the money that comes with that, over the slight difference they'll get for the lad in the summer. There will be clubs happy enough to spend a decent amount for him even with a year to go. They don't play him ffs. Right...but its being mentioned they dont want to strengthen another side below them which makes sense. Whats the relevance of whether he plays for them or not? They are safer if we dont get stronger, which is worth more than the difference they'll get on him now or then.

If things were above board at the club they could use that money to reinvest in the squad. Only reason not to sell is to spite to the player or the rumours about Pulis. Guest ElCid
Basically, it won't happen. If West Brom are willing to lose out on £10 million plus come the summer it won't. Seems to me a case of trying to squeeze every penny out of us to be honest - this may roll most of the day tmrw.

Going to be pretty hard to leave him out now if they hang onto him. He scored in the 3rd round and didn't get a league game. He's not going to start league games regularly under Pulis. You'd probably see us & Norwich as being the two to not help improve from their pov. If they dont want to take the risk, it would make sense. To be honest if they rate him that much though they should be playing the lad, so theres clearly something dodgy going on behind the scenes.

If he's good enough to contribute to a 7 point swing at their expense - they should be playing the lad. Something is incredibly fishy about this. Berahino's personal reputation is masking what is a terrible situation for the lad and i'm surprised the media haven't picked up on it. He's one of the brightest prospects in England, scoring better than 1 in 3 in the PL at 21. Can't get a game for his club (who are pretty shit anyway) and they're refusing to sell him. It's absolutely disgusting.

NG32
That's the end of that then, Ashley might find out why it's important for the club to have a status other than to just exist. It's easier to attract players.

The College Dropout
7 points is loads down at the bottom of the table. On average, it takes us what..... 6/7 games to get 7 points? 4 clubs below them aren't going to catch them up.
