shintonsghost
I can remember Tommy too, didn't know he was "the dog" like. Just remember people singing Tommy, give us a song and him getting up on the barriers and doing "little white bull" as someone already mentioned. Usually in the scoreboard. I remember the Indian thing as well. Happy days till some fecker pissed in your pocket. little white bull, yes i remember him

I remember someone telling me years later he was killed at a Swindon away game. Ahh... the Indian cry. Takes me back.

geordiesteve710
RE Tommy. I can't remember him ever being called Tommy the dog, there was the notorious millwall fan Harry the dog and the not so notorious Timmy the dog who was part of the famous five massive.

Robster
I remember the indian cry. I also remember a young las in the Gallowgate, below the scoreboard would always stand up on a barrier and starting somgs off. I remember someone telling me years later he was killed at a Swindon away game. That lad was called Darren and he was killed in London by I think a group of Welsh Rugby fans. Altamullan
Can't picture him, but sounds like a character. For fuck's sake don't publicise more widely, we'll end-up with another minute 'graced' with a cringey-clap...
Altamullan
...wonder what year ol' Johnny Dickfingers died/his age/what number bus he was hit by... hope one of the numbers is 75, often a lull around the last 15 minutes. Is it true he's buried upside down in a half-sized casket?

Thomson Mouse
Wasn't the Indian cry bloke nicknamed Tonto or something equally imaginative? Seem to remember him sitting on the upper right as you look at it from the pitch, near the Gallowgate.
TK-421
I always remember someone in the east stand (towards the Gallowgate) used to go to matches in one of those rubber Elvis wigs. Dunno if it was the same person who did the indian cry, like.
Big Geordie
I remember the Indian War Cry. Also remember a bloke who sat in the Corner of the East Stand who was christened 'Kenny Everett', because he had dark hair and a beard. Used to start the singing off in that part of the East Stand and I remember watching him go crackers at the Hull game, back in 1991 when Sunderland were confirmed relegated. I also remember a bloke called 'Norman' who got up on the barriers in the corner, to start the songs off. Had a baldy head and wore dungarees! Also a kid who was christened 'Oxy 10', when I shifted to the scoreboard. He had really bad acne, but wasn't frightened to start the singing off. Memories! Big Geordie
CP40 I remember the war cry, from when dad first started taking me back in 81/82. Used to meet some real characters on the terraces. I was the lad no-one liked to be stood behind, due to being so tall (6'8) Was once told, that I could be spotted in the Scoreboard, from the Leazes End.
