DJ_NUFC
fair enough mate, I'm sorry like. Cannot say I've ever been a massive Brian Adams fan though so the reference went way over my head In fairness, people making Brian Adams references deserve what they get. For everything they do... sbnufc
I know I'm late to the party, but I only just saw it We are only interested in bringing players to Newcastle who want to work hard for the Club and the team; not players who want to be at another club maybe next year or the year after. We are not a stepping stone, we are Newcastle United. Every player should be honoured to wear the shirt of this Club. They should feel the same passion that the fans feel, then you have a great relationship between the players and the supporters in the stadium. It is magical when that happens and it can help us achieve great things together. Rafa, man
morla84
Just goes to show how pathetic the deluded tag is- in the championship, still haven't won anything, and the happiest we've been in over 10 years. Not expecting us to win anything again, but little things like this man make it all worthwhile

SUPERTOON
Few suggestions on twitter about making the "We are not a stepping stone, we are Newcastle United" into a banner. Would be brilliant.
U2
That would be verging on small time. Rafa's said it once, doesn't need to be mentioned again or made a big deal of.
Guest firetotheworks
That would be verging on small time. Rafa's said it once, doesn't need to be mentioned again or made a big deal of. Aye, hammering it home implies that it needs to be said, when it really shouldn't need to be.

Geordinho
Isn't it also the name of a PJ & Duncan Monkees cover**? Open to ridicule. ** My lass bought it, honest.

It wouldn't have been Rafa though, he was at Liverpool when the club handled the Sir Bobby situation very badly.

Guest Howaythetoon
Replace Sir Bobby with Rafa and we compete for league titles, cups and go far in Europe. FS, however, went for fucking Souness!

Previously under Ashley the club has been a stepping stone. Not anymore.

mrmojorisin75
promotion this season is essential like, go up and i think he'll be here 5-10 years barring interference from ownership or club sale or something could be a great ride as well, most optimistic i've been since SBR by an absolute mile

Guest The King of Zembla
AT Newcastle Rafa doesn't have to tolerate any shite from anyone and the fans will back him everytime. His position here is tantamount to bacon-face's at Man United and he can afford to dispense with any would be stepping-stoners as Ferguson did with the dog fondler, van Horsemush etc...
