Sissoko is hated by the fans and everybody has waved him away. Wijnaldum the same. He was a one in ten player.

Janmaat wasn't a right back. He was a right midfielder.

Never said Rafa didn't want him to leave. They got on well. He had passion. He would have done well in the Championship. But he's replaceable. Ritchie is a better winger.

Townsend is a poor player.

I think me and you are looking at this differently.

You're happy to have average players that do well / compete for 2nd and 3rd in the Championship, whereas I'm looking at players that can compete in the top 8 of the Premier League.

Townsend would have ran past Champ players with ease.

He's in the pocket of top Prem players.

Yet he didn't say such positive things about the other 3. Fact.

He obviously rated Townsend, whether or not Ritchie is a better player. He's a hard working player who has more than enough talent on the ball for this league, of-course Benitez would have rather he stayed.

Benitez actually said that even Townsend himself didn't realise how good he was. Rafa would have brought out his full potential and made him into an England regular. Instead he's chucked that all down the toilet to get his career wrecked by Pardew. Tragic, but it's his loss, we can only shake our heads in sympathy.

Jack Colback is a poor - average player. But I think he'll do well in the Championship.

The same goes for Murphy, he will do well against the bad sides when needed.

Jack Colback's problems in the premier are going to be exactly the same in the championship. He won't be able to keep pace with fitter, faster opposition. Away from home he could do the sitting role I suppose which requires less athleticism.

We're 5 games in. Everybody looked shit in the first 2, especially losing at Home ffs.

There's no settled side. I think Colback and Shelvey alongside each other could work once the team is settled. We'll see.

We move into an international break now, but you're still working. You are attending the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum in Nyon - what are you hoping to get from the conference?

The conference is always very good, very useful. I have been a few times before to this meeting. Some of the top coaches from around Europe at the club level are here, there is a lot of talent and experience at the table.

It is a good chance for us to get together and to have discussions about the subject that affect our clubs and our leagues.

It can maybe be things like rule changes, refereeing, tactical trends and styles, regulations for domestic and European competitions - it depends what are the main topics for each season that we want to discuss.

What do you think are the major issues that need debating this year?

We have been talking about subjects such as the away goal rule, substitutions, time-keeping, electronic communication and video assistant referees, as well as discussing statistics and tactics like the influence of possession or the counterattacks, and the impact of substitutes

A lot of information, numbers and ideas trying to improve the game.

It is virtually unheard of for a second-tier club to be represented at a forum like this, isn't it?

Yes it is unusual, but I think it is very good for Newcastle United because I am representing the Club at the top level, at a prestigious meeting like this.

I can make sure I can bring back to Newcastle experience and information from the conference to help the Club.

It will be a good opportunity to meet up with colleagues including Arsene Wenger, Luis Enrique, Unai Emery, Massimiliano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, Mircea Lucescu and other familiar faces. Do you enjoy a good relationship with other elite managers across Europe?

I have good relationships with many managers. We speak often on the phone and we share knowledge and experience with each other, which is important and very healthy for all of us.

It is always good to keep learning and keep improving, sharing ideas and helping others with advice and knowledge. I enjoy the conference and I am proud to represent Newcastle United this time.

Like or not lads, Rafa likes a hard working battling midfielder. Sure, against Burton Albion at home, he won't be needed, but Jack Colback will have a big role to play especially away from home.

Ah right, you're one of them who just 'tells it like it is' aren't you? Crack on.

1 - You think Andros Townsend was indispensable

2 - You think Colback will be rotting on the reserves until May.

Crack on.

Lol.
