mighty__mag
Ings works his balls off for the team, that's the kind of player Rafa loves. Ings is a bit like Ritchie in that respect, hard work. Matt Ritchie is probably the perfect Rafa player like. Edit : wouldn't really want to sign him, we need a front man with a bit of pace, and two ACL's injuries will cost him a yard or two of pace. Wtf does Rafa see in Ayoze then? If he likes a grafter like Ritchie im baffled some lazy arses make our side. On this striker crisis have we nothing new emerging from the youth squads worth just giving a shot off the bench. ( Hasn't this Victor Fernandez made the bench ? Wiki has got him down as a FWD)

He likes Ayoze’s intelligent runs off the ball which drag the opposition players out of position, so he says.
HaydnNUFC
Would take. Wanted us to get him in the summer.

Infinitely Content
Ings/Cairney sound like improvements 'on paper', but perhaps not if they're both going to be injured/struggling for fitness. Besides, in the grand scheme we should probably aim a bit higher than them anyway. Still take them both mind.
xLiaaamx
Meh to ings, yes to cairney. Him, Shelvey and Merino would have us good on the ball in the middle.
Shearergol
Tom Cairney is massively over-valued, no chance is he worth even half what we'd have to pay.
Tooj
I'm sceptical about Ings simply due to the two cruciate injuries that he's had.
HaydnNUFC
Meh to ings, yes to cairney. Him, Shelvey and Merino would have us good on the ball in the middle. Yep. Could potentially solve our no. 10 issue.
joeyt
Cairney was the best opposition player to visit SJP last season. Would be like when Routledge was the best opposition player we faced in the Championship and we signed him not long after, although Cairney would be a while after we played them
Mikky
If we ever get taken over and have money I would like to see us buy Paco Alcacer - whether we can get him is a different story - would cost around £15m

joeyt
Haven't seen anything of Monaco, is he out of favour? We should be in there if he is Monaco striker Stevan Jovetic could be in line to return to England is Southampton make a move for the played in January, according to the Daily Mirror. The 27-year-old former Manchester City striker is seen as an option to help end the Saints' goal drought.

thomas
"Jenk" is close enough, if Turkish. https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Turkish/Pronunciation_and_Alphabet/A-I#C edit: please also play the sound file for the first example of yumuşak g.

Disco
Hard to imagine they'd let him go in January given they're likely in the CL last 16 (and it's likely bullshit).
sugoinufc
Would like that: Gossip: Newcastle eye Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen Some transfer gossip now and it’s no secret that Rafa Benitez wanted a new goalkeeper in the summer. Perfectly plausible then that he might move again for one in January. According to reports in Spain from El Gol Digital, Benitez has identified Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen as a potential target, with the Dutchman struggling for game time. Cillessen is yet to make a league appearance this term and has had to make due with just one cup appearance instead. The report claims Cillessen is desperate to move elsewhere for game time, and therefore the switch to Tyneside might appeal to the 28-year-old former Ajax man.
