Dwight Gayle (now playing for Hibernian)

Wouldn't say he was 'awful' in PL. Putting it a bit strong for me that.

He's just one of those players that crop up every now and then who's ability lies somewhere in between leagues.

Very good in one league and just adequate in another..happens now and then imo.

Wish the lad all the best personally.

Would have been interesting to see what he could have done in the premiership in a more attack minded team. He could probably be a handy striker in the right set up.

If we had Zaha Townsend and Benteke we’d be miles up where we are right now. Even the current crap Version of Benteke.

You could apply like 1-2 decent attackers or wingers and plug them into our team and we’d be comfortably mid table pushing upwards.

It was a mistake to let him go, but like we’ve said I guess it was the only way we would get Rondon. In isolation it would’ve been much better to keep him.

He's a championship striker, had more than one chance to prove otherwise and failed, that being said he is a superior option to Joselu who is hardly a footballer.

Has he? I thought last season was his first opportunity as first choice striker. He started with an injury which affected his confidence, and then he struggled with his finishing, but the amount of chances he had, and missed, was quite high. History will clearly remember him as a champo striker but it could have been different.
