Just been having a quick look at the table at this stage last year from here http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2015-2016/table/2015-12-12

Some random facts from this stage last season...

Brighton had 42 points, exactly the same as they have this season

5 of the top 6 remained in the top 6 (Shef Weds were 8th at the time and finished 6th).

3rd and 4th place both had 38 points

Burnley the eventual winners were 7 points adrift, with 35 points

Fulham in 17th were the only team to have scored more than 30 goals.

Win tomorrow and we're nine points clear of third with a minimum 26 goal difference advantage.

If that happens, think we're already up.

5 of our next 6 are against teams in the bottom half too. Big chance to have it all but sewn up with a third of the season to go.

Last season Brighton were unbeaten until about time time and then it was a few weeks before they picked up another win.

Hoping history repeats itself, TBH... my gaffa is unbearable at the moment.

Seems to forget how they ran out of steam after topping the table this time last season, yet keeps on about 'top of the table'... 'normal service resumed'.  :huff:

Loves bemoaning referee decisions when they don't get them yet said nothing about getting 2 pens against Leeds, and opposition having players sent off in last 2 matches helping them.
