Should we have had a pel. I didn't pick up on it at the game. Was quite p*ssed  mind

Aye, didn't think so at the time but after watching when I got home it was and the ref was well positioned to see it.

Aye, it ended badly, but that performance is the best I've seen from a Newcastle side in a long time.

We played some nice football, created loads of chances and attacked in numbers. Apart from the opening minutes we bossed the game. Leeds couldn't get near us.

The lack of concentration at the end of the halves is concerning, mind.

One thing is the Hayden/Colback sub, but taking off Ritchie instead of Gouffran is a strange one.

Ritchie one was probably due to the game coming up on Monday.

Good to see some praise for the performance. Really disappointed by the result but it was a very good showing. The two games against Leeds this season we've been great.

What was the verdict when one of their centre backs seemed to pull Mitrovic over when the ball was being squared to him and their defender got a yellow. Right decision? Or could it have been a red card or were we lucky to get a free kick?

Took the linesman ages to eventually flag for a foul

Think they got that one right.

The atmosphere was the best it's been at home this season and I think that's because we were dominating the game and our fans are probably more relaxed as we're so far ahead of Huddersfield with few games to play.

If it had been a better ball in, it might have been different.

There was no ball in at that point, was there? He was taken out before Perez could play the ball.

But if the ball that had been played in after the foul on Mitrovic had ended up going in closer to where the incident occurred than to Rob Green, it might have played on the ref's mind that there was a scoring opportunity.

Whilst that fat cunt was utterly hideous, there is absolutely no need for the situation to develop as it did.

The policing/stewarding was utterly shambolic, for a start, allowing a man of his physique to get onto the pitch in the first place and to then remain on the pitch for such a long period of time. After that, the complete stupidity to only get two stewards to try and walk him past the entire Gallowgate end into the Strawberry corner. At the end of the game, to try and escort him at full time through the crowds out of the Gallowgate end was just ridiculous. Obviously, there was going to be some sort of muppet having a pop. Why not hold him in the ground for 20 minutes or so? Or take him straight out when he was lifted off of the pitch rather than waiting until after FT.

So in full view of children, there were a large number of people attacking him on the Gallowgate steps.

He got a real thumping like, which was totally avoidable from start to finish. Like I said, he was an utter cunt but that doesn't detract from how avoidable the situation was.
