Drewboy74
Don't want him or anyone of our boys near that England team. Maybe for the actual tournament but not for the piss pot guarantee wins of the qualifier rounds. The JUICE is not worth the squeeze!

Has to be one of those 4 i guess. Hall would have been part of the equation if not for the injury. Hard not to go for Tonali for me, totally transformed the team after finding his place. gbandit
If Lewis Hall hadn’t been injured for the end of the season he’d be my player of the season. As it stands it’s between Tonali and Murphy. Tonali probably takes it but in terms of a player playing at their limit almost every game I don’t think anyone matches Murphy
Tiresias
It's so weird when a player trains to the point that his crossing is much better, his shooting is much better, and his on field intelligence and runs are a lot better and this feels so wildly unusual, i mean if murphy can do it can every other 'middling' winger? In truth reflects marvelously on his attitude, and the fact that he has got better so steadily it was hard to notice. He went from pretty useless to being a reliable decent runner who didn't really contribute creatively enough to this. I wonder is the the trick is he did it so under the radar opposition scouts havent been reporting him as a threat back and so he never gets doubled up on? He also reminds me a bit of how Pep deployed Sterling when he was good, not so much in style of play but in terms of just making sure at all times there is threat from out wide to stretch defence and stop teams just defending super narrow and deep. Turns out if you have a player always willing to press, always willing to run at defence, always willing to be direct every minute of the game they pick up goals and assists
Smal
I think it’s likely that he has become more professional in a more professional environment and that this is his natural level; which he was unable to hit when he was younger because he didn’t have the same approach and mentality to training. The likes of Howe, Trippier, Bruno and Burn came in and immediately changed the mentality of the squad. I don’t think that can be overstated when you look at the performances of the likes of Murphy, Schar and Joelinton; and even the likes of Krafth and Lascelles who haven’t played as much but have performed at a much higher level than they had previously when they’ve been needed. Someone said it before but Rafa must’ve seen something in Murphy to have decided he wanted to spend most of his budget on him. The club was rotten though, and despite Rafa’s efforts it wasn’t an environment that encouraged an “elite” level mentality like it is now.
Displayname
Year over year he has 9 goals and 15 assists in 34 games and 2300 minutes played in the PL. Thats some "purple patch". Edited April 19 by Displayname

buzza
His runs in behind the defence are timed to perfection, and with Bruno/tripps feeding him inch-perfect passes he is absolutely wallowing in it!! Long may it continue! Another belter from him
