Can’t be too negative on him for that. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.. which was mostly the case during Mike Ashley’s tenure. Best of luck to him. Just seemed a serviceable but limited player to me, unhelped by some rotten injury luck at times. Reasonable at a number of things but didn't particularly excel at anything to take him up a level or two, especially for a club looking to finally pull away from relegation battles.
