Divun Naa
At this late stage I'd be surprised if it Athens. If it does it's Kos Rafa has made in Rhodes on Ashely's spending, lets hope it doesn't Naxos.

Happinesstan
I reckon after 2 weeks at the club he'll become disillusioned with football altogether and you'll see hm down at the job shop signing for his Gyros. Pitta because he could have been a star.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-news-transfers-live-15803911 Details on Samaris' nearly move to NUFC Newcastle tried, but ultimately failed to land Andreas Samaris on deadline day. And now, O Jorga in Portugal have given more details on why the move for the Benfica midfielder did not end up on Tyneisde. The Greek midfielder is out of contract in the summer and NUFC reportedly offered £300k to take him on loan until the summer and the agreement included a clause that said Benfica would get a percentage of any fee they received for him on a future sale after they signed him permanently in the summer on a two-year deal. Benfica rejected this and, it seems, Newcastle have decided to wait and see how the situation develops between now and the summer. It seems Samaris will be available. According to the players agent, Benfica haven’t even tried to open negotiations on a new contract.

Sho Time
Not that I know anything about the circumstances but the fact that a club in the Portugese league (no matter how good Benfica are) can't even be arsed to offer him a new contract when there's concrete interest in him - doesn't really sound promising. TRon
We were close to signing him 18 months ago so he’s obviously someone we like the look of. I know we are interested, but Rafa would care less about the contract situation, whereas the hierarchy definitely see it as a big recruitment factor. Just wondering if it's Rafa led or not. Same thoughts here, although the fact that we would seem to have been interested for a while, but not bothered to actually make a deal happen, would lead one to believe that Rafa may want the player, and Ashley has been pissing around for a laugh as per
