Elliottman
Was that always going to be the case since a free kick was given?
SuperFlat
Was that always going to be the case since a free kick was given? Free kick appeared to be for the foul preceding the kick. Ref appeared to look away as the potentially fatal assault was launched. Still, bonus.

Jaqen
Was that always going to be the case since a free kick was given? Separate incidents weren’t they? Free kick had already been awarded. Good news anyway.

wormy
Christ. Lucky us and him. Shocked we've actually benefited from how shite this country's FA and referees are.
TooonDoom
Lucky boy if true. Another wrong decision by that shite ref. Fa tried their best to fuck Newcastle but the ref didn’t play ball.
Klaus
The rules are a complete joke as obvious a ban as anything else you will see this season.
NEEJ
Well for once I'm happy about the consequences of awful refereeing in the Premier League.

Ameritoon
Sometimes the FA being full of old men incredibly backwards is good thing, I guess
Tsunami
I think the Ref only giving Arter a yellow for a worse kick has saved him.

SteV
Already transferred him out of my fantasy team. Can't play the next game (v Chelsea) anyway. Would have been interesting to see if that game would have counted for any ban. Won't get to find out thankfully.
AyeDubbleYoo
I think the Ref only giving Arter a yellow for a worse kick has saved him. Not sure like, Arter’s was at least a tackle. Kenedy’s was just violent conduct.

ChrisMcQuillan
I know this type of thing happens a lot, but it's the first time I've actually seen it favour us. Normally you'll find a passing seagull which interfered with the referee's eyesight, so even though Mitrovic was booked, it gets upgraded to a four match ban. With an extra match for the hassle of having to look at it.
HaydnNUFC
Good news. Even if he was banned, he really only would've missed Man City away, as Chelsea counted despite that he's ineligible for it and I doubt he would've played against Forest. Happy days though. Crumpy Gunt
Should have been off. But ref gave a free kick so was never going to be retrospective action.

Kenedy’s was just violent conduct. Arter’s wasn’t a tackle it was a full blooded kick with the sole intention of bringing the player down. To be a tackle he’d have to at least try and challenge the ball. Kenedy’s kick out was petty and petulant (and should have been a red) Arter’s was professional, dangerous and excessive force. You know what I mean though, it was a bad challenge and probably a red, but at least in the form of a tackle. Kenedy just kicked a bloke off the ball. Anyway, good news for his confidence probably, should be a relief.
