His stats in 22/23 were comparable to Bellinghams at Dortmund. When’s he’s fit and at his best he’s definitely a key part of the squad. He creates chances, drives forward with the ball and gets some great chances to score. He needs to improve at finishing  his chances.

We sold 30m worth of home grown a few weeks ago. Then Luiz and got two cheaper players in for him plus another 20m.

Look at Cameron Archer. Home grown and sold to Sheffield United last year for 19m. Under that deal they paid us 9m as a first instalment with the agreement that if they got relegated they’d send him back and just not pay the rest.

And now we will sell him again. You have to be good at this nonsense, and the off pitch management of the club they have put in is absolutely top notch.

Actually Kellyman isn’t home grown. We paid Derby 600k to bring him into to our academy and then two years later we sold him for £19m. 
 

Football is like Ultimate Team these days. God I used to love the buying and selling in that.

He did OK but made a good few mistakes. He's refused a new deal. Only a year left on the contract. Happy with £8m to be honest given that he wouldn't have played barring a similar injury situation to last year. Happy to keep Evans for the year and shift Kambwala to raise some funds.

The DCL thing is more about him being in the last year of his contract isn't it? Rather than Everton needing to sell for PSR

I know he’s a good player (Onana) but my main memory of him is getting muscled off the ball by Almiron two seasons back in the build up to a Miggy wonder goal

You lost £120m in your last published accounts and had a wage to turnover ratio near to 100%. The "clever selling stuff" is just putting the consequences off for a season or two, gambling on you continuing to get into the ECL.

Might be an idea and could encourage Burnley to knock the fee down a bit. We need to get rid of Dubravka first I think. Atm Odysseas seems to be no2. They might be really unwilling to do a deal now if they are selling Muric though. Parker might want his own gk though and I know he likes Travers when he was at Bournemouth so maybe he’d go in for him and let Trafford go.

Huge, fast, athletic, eats up space when defending transitions, and is quite ambitious with his passing albiet deffo can be improved 

 

Always thought a midfield 3 of Onana at the base, Bruno and then a more attacking midfielder as the other 8 would he such a good midfielder, with Bruno dropping deep to help orchestrate distribution 

 

I think people overlook this when they offer negative opinions on him. He looks a tidy footballer to me, I also think he could be a good foil for someone like Bruno.

Onana is the type of player you want when you don’t have the ball, not so much when you do have it. Emery will need to improve his technical skills to make him worth the money. Not a signing I’m jealous of.

Our link with Onana was clearly as a replacement if we sold Joelinton. By all accounts Ashworth planed for that. 
 

Now when Joelinton signed a new deal I assume our interest ended.

I always see Joelinton as more of an advanced/left midfielder rather than a holding one. If anything Bruno plays deeper, so is the Joelinton/Onana comparison like for like?
