No, I'm not saying he wouldn't have been willing to join us, I'm saying I don't think Eddie would've fancied the dynamic of signing a player who already has one eye on his next move. I think both perspectives are respectable, but our squad clearly operates on 100% buy in.

Aye there would have been a release clause and he would be off anyway.

He and his agent have been extremely aggressive in engineering the move away from Bournemouth. We aren’t bringing in those types of characters.

Amazing business again by them.

Yep. Decisive and efficient, in for preseason, in to replace a great but fading player who was fast becoming a weaker link for them.

For something like 50 million? Good player but really not cheap.

It's fine he can have a long career with them, he's been the best left back in the league this season imo.

I'm a bit jelly of these cartel shits spunking money before is even open.

2 brand new full backs in before the seasons even ended

Annoying

It's the benefit of being a cartel member. If we're being honest we aren't players first choice so we have to fight for scraps.

Not knowing which European competition we are in next season will be a factor too.

For budget reasons yes, but it won't be a factor when it comes to attracting players imo.

Players in most cases will still be choosing cartel clubs over us. Remember Tosin?

Although Liverpool are quickly adding good players, they're losing Trent Alexander-Arnold for free. So it's going both ways.

Frimpong is an upgrade on the whole.

Looks like Everton are losing loads of their squad on free transfers, I wouldn't have any of them TBF, Big rebuild coming for them.
