Everton is the best move for Delap.

their fans apparently made a big fuss of him when Ipswich were there the other week.

He’d be better there than Man Utd or Chelsea.

Everton isn't the dream move for him but it's probably the most sensible at this stage. He could easily go there and score 15+ a season as the main man in the new ground and get himself the big move he's probably wanting right now. It's a nice stepping stone move

Aye they are choosing, we have to wait for scraps.

Another consequence of these stupid rules.

Come on man it's not a consequence of the rules. It's Liverpool.

It absolutely is the consequences of the rules. Liverpool are only viewed as Liverpool because ourselves villa and city are not allowed to compete.

Nah. Their recent history backs up their legacy status. They’re a well run club and an attractive destination for any player, for obvious reasons. It’s not like Man U and to a lesser extent Chelsea, where the club is run like a basket case currently and you’d have to question of a player preferring to go there instead of to a Villa or us.

Your missing the point, if the shackles were off they wouldn't be able to compete with us. Have you seen what the Saudis pay?

The original point I made was we are feeding off scraps which is true. We aren't players number one choice but the constraints placed on us by the cartel rules are largely the reason for that.

There or West Ham, where he'd be starting every week, would be best for his development.

“West Ham or Everton would be best for his development”

Just read that back for a second and let it sink in. Neither team has developed anyone of note since the 90s. Ish.

Isn't David Moyes the death of centre forwards careers? I feel like he's never signed a centre forward that's been a success.

Tomasz Radzinski? James McFadden? Marcus Bent?

His career was already on the slide by the point he joined them is my memory.

Aye he wasn't the player he was but he was definitely a success at Everton.
