The English league was probably the most or second most watched in the world courtesy of the Scandinavian/Benelux/Asian markets before the Premier League without having the worlds best players. Whilst selling its best players to Italy, France and Germany. Its not about the world best players. The established league's themselves are a bigger draw. Can't believe you think this is comparable to China and the MLS. We'll see. We're all going to be here watching it all transpire.

Viana
They were ready to offer 700m to Mbappe for a year. If Al-Ittihad are serious Liverpool will struggle to turn it down. Say they offer 150m, that's a transformative sum for a player that's 31-year-old. If they can poach Benzema you better believe they can poach Salah. Jeddah’s nicer than Dubai tbf (in my completely unbiased opinion). Less Russian escorts though, I guess.

Nine
The money (and power) machine behind the Saudi league is a completely different animal than that of China or the MLS.. those two leagues are incomparable to what’s going on here. Look at the names that have moved to Saudi in their first big transfer window, it’s different worlds man. Anything could happen but I get the feeling that they will become serious players in world football within 5 years. They will stop at nothing to build and enhance the Saudi ‘brand’, fair play to them. Edited August 24, 2023 by Nine
Ben
I've just been reading that the Saudi transfer window closes a week after ours, so that's a lot of managers and players getting unsettled over the next couple of weeks, with know hope of signing a replacement

Dr.Spaceman
Are we potentially one of the very few clubs that are going to be untouchable for any Saudi transfer? Was just thinking of the possibility of Bruno disappearing any time soon. Guessing it would be on our terms, right? Was enough to allow us to buy 2 players and get a loan deal in without being above market value.
