Sibierski
Old so may been covered before, but we really were done dirty for ASM
AyeDubbleYoo
Surely they could get kudus for much less than that?

alexf
Said this before and will say it again...why would Saudi clubs need to bid above valuation for a player? Paying the players more in wages I understand but there's no reason £50m players suddenly jump to £100m unless it's a dodgy transaction. On the other hand, there's zero for a Saudi club to gain from giving money to a PL club, as far as i can tell.... unless it was an affiliate. The only thing I can think is that by overpaying, they are getting deals done quicker and is effectively knocking any would be suitors out of the water. For example, if we were interested in Kudus, we'd quickly move on if we thought a Saudi club was bidding that amount.
gbandit
Saudi need a ban from signing from other leagues if they’re going to hike up fees to ridiculous levels

Fak
Not sure if Globo are reliable or not, but they're saying Cunha to Man Utd deal is close. He's way too good for them man.
joeyt
Of course Moyes wants Soucek at Everton
Menace
Can we interest him in one hardly used Sean Longstaff?
gbandit
All jokes aside, Sean would do a job at Everton as they don’t see a lot of the ball. All his strongest attributes are without the ball

Pokerprince2004
Shame. Do Spurs have anyone who would bring in a lot of money? Kulacevski is the only one I'd be tempted to go for but even he would be a bit underwhelming. Fallen a long, long way this season

AyeDubbleYoo
I think Spurs are a bit like Man U, they have some good players in their squad but just not the right ones or the right plan to make a functional team. Probably a few that would get moves, not necessarily to us.
janpawel
So tottenham are complete opposite to us, FFP rich but cash poor Also, would Villa still be paying Rashford's wages if he is out for the season? Not sure if loans have a break in contract for situations like season long injuries etc
mosstef
I would take Bergvall from Spurs. He has impressed me everytime I've seen them play.

Any chance of us getting £40m for him in the summer is gone now though.
