Ederson to Fenerbache.

It really says a lot about that club, that you can play nearly 400 games for them and just quietly leave without anyone caring. It means nothing.

Customer FC. Much like Human Capital Athletic in West London.

80% of Sancho’s wage is the opposite of PSR desperation. I genuinely can’t believe they would pay Sancho £200k odd per week. That’s what £10m? Plus a loan fee.
I mean.. I actually don’t believe it. Romano must be chatting shit.

Did they not set a precedent for it with Trashford’s wages?

They are repeating the gamble they made last season. Backfired then and I reckon it will backfire for them again.

Rashford is genuinely a top talent though.  Over 150 career goals. Multiple seasons scoring 10+ goals in the PL.

Rashford has been awful at times but he’s proven himself.  That game against PSG he was brilliant last season. People need to put some respect on his name and his career.

Jadon Sancho is an inferior talent and has never done anything in the PL consistently. I wouldn’t believe any club in Europe would pay him£200k per week outside of Juve or someone.

Surprised Bayern weren't in for him.

It didn't come from Romano. It came from our tier 1 sources. It's true, and the rest of the wage is on the line for Villa as well but it's based on performances from Sancho. Basically if he plays decent, it'll be 100% coverage.

Yeh it's barmy to me.

I've liked how aggressive Volla have been with PSR but that's stupid. That's Isak level wages.

I always maintained the opposite when you were glazing them hard. Chickens are home to roost for them now though.

They were a Emi Martinez sending off away from back to back CL qualification. Their biggest mistake last season was not going for it in the summer, they left themselves too much work to do in the second half of the season.

Yeah but the margin isn't relevant here, you either make it or you don't. We also choked hard as well.

They took a high risk approach by doing things which are unsustainable and are paying the price.

You do know he had no choice right?

Elliot for 30m is a great deal

They wanted 50m a month ago.

Lets see if Emery can get Sancho back on track. Having to pay 200m a week is nuts.

Bloody hell, not even Targett was on that much :kasper:

You judge a strategy by how good the strategy is - the execution didn't land by a whisker but that's evidence that the strategy was viable.

I don't agree with some of thier moves. But they haven't sold a starter since Douglas Luiz (who they replaced). I still think their squad is stronger than ours. I just don't rate the Sancho signing financially or on the pitch. Villa gave Emery a CL level squad and he didn't deliver.

Our whole project is being held together by Eddie Howe. If Nick W doesn't become a serious player, I think even our first team isn't as good as theirs. Isak was the difference between the starting teams imo.

Agree but the strategy they pursued was go all in. And bare in mind a certain degree of fortune was in play last season with English clubs getting an extra place and two cartel members being well off the pace.

The strategy they pursued was just an extremely high risk one and now they have to pay for it.

Elliot will be a bad deal as they've definitely left some of the potential upside for Liverpool to take back. It's been reported all summer that if the upfront fee is low Liverpool will take a sell on clause and a buyback.

It's basically a really expensive loan

How? If he does ok, he is still not good enough for Liverpool. They won't buy him back unless he starts to bang them in, which he will not.

Buy back is just what aspect of it right? Say he does well and is worth 75m if the buyback is 50m they buyback and flip this is the new wave.

Even if they don't buy him back, they still get a cut of any future fee.

This is the new cartel meta.

They get a cut of the fee, but he is mediocre player and most likely be a squad player for Villa. They got him pretty cheap. They have a buy back, which I guess means Liverpool can match any offer like City with Trafford?

But for me it looks like they flopped him out bc they don't need him but they need to sell some fringe players.
