Didn’t he just go to Bayern?

Yeah last summer but he’s not getting much game time and they are signing Laimer in the summer and they’ve already got Kimmich and Goretzka so apparently he wants to move on.

Seems a bit of a waste from Bayern but fair fucks. Wonder if that might change under Tommy Toucher albeit he didn’t play against City.

Bayern will always be fine as they just get fed from the rest of the bundesliga  so they can afford some to go wrong.

Think by modern standards it wasn’t the biggest deal ~20-25m

Tuchel is apparently going to give him a chance but the proof will be in the pudding.

It doesn't need the money though, Journalist gets tips off players agents to help sell the players, journalist's career is helped because he knows about transfers sooner than others so journalist gets rewarded, agent gets to put player in shop window, agent gets what they want, it's a win win for them. Agents don't need to send any money to any journo (who would be being profoundly unethical in accepting it and would have hoped put career on line to do so but doubt it), because if a journo says pay me money they can just go to the next journo down the line, there would be no need to spend money as there are an unlimited number of journos who would appreciate the tip for some exposure. What Romano probably has is a lot of long boozy lunches with as many agents he knows where he comes accross is a nice guy and they reward him with tips, and because he just reprints whatever spurious bollocks they keep going to him. Means he's right more than most but only out of volume.

Think I read that that Liverpool are going to struggle for home grown players next season if they get rid of Gomez, Oxlade Chamberlain and the Irish keeper.

Which is why they'll be very interested in Mount and Gallagher

Keeping Gomez and the Irish GK is a no-brainer.

Kelleher wants to leave at the end of the season as his contract is up and I think they want rid of Gomez

Numerous reports suggesting Mac Allister is Liverpool’s number one target this summer.

Would actually be the perfect signing for them, hope it doesn’t happen

It's almost as if they've not got a single clue about how to run a football club. Mistake after mistake after mistake and they're getting worse the more money they throw at it. Textbook exercise of exactly how NOT to run a PL club and it deserves to come crashing down. I want to be able to see the smoke for miles.

They were saying on The Athletic podcast that in an ideal world they’d sell them before 30 June as they can put it on this seasons books which helps them massively. Especially the homegrown players as selling them is pure profit in accounting terms.

However Lukaku coming back on 300k per year is going to be magnificently funny as there’ll be no next to no takers that will pay anywhere near what they spent on him or match his wages.
