Steve McClaren got money when it was available. He set us back 5 or so years with it but he got it. Though I do feel Ashley's going to be even more of a cunt this year.

Is that even possible?

Alan Pardew is on the market so yes. Yes he can.

Those snakes won't sell themselves.

It’s going to be so much worse this summer. The club’s policies have always been:

Don’t spend money we don’t have yet

Don’t have any over-21s outside of the 25 man squad.

Unfortunately we are not going to shift Sels, Lazaar, Saivet and whoever else is surplus to requirements before 8th August as likely buyers are abroad with a much later deadline.

No free player slots equals no signings.

“But does the owner have the same ambition as Rafa?

“That’s what concerns me.

“Rafa wants the club to move forward and challenge higher up the table but Mike Ashley seems to be content to stay where he is and just be in the Premier League.

“You’ll never get a better chance to nail down a top class manager like Rafa.

“I’ll tell you why.

“Rafa is happy to live in the north of England but he is also keen to build something exciting with Newcastle.

“The worry is that other, bigger clubs, will be interested in taking Rafa on.

“One thing I know that Rafa is delighted about is that the fans are really behind him at Newcastle.

“They love him and he loves them.

“All we are waiting for now is Mike Ashley to get him signed up.

“It’s a no-brainer!”
