Guest Howaythetoon
They will keep Rafa on through gritted teeth after feeding him a pack of lies and the whole process will start again. Nah, he wants signatures on his business plan in the way they want his signature to a contract. Ashley would rather give Rafa 10m extra to spend than agree and commit to his recruitment strategy model and academy/training/facilities improvement requests which Rafa would rather the club invested in the most even if it cut into any transfer spend budget. Ashley’s idea of investing in the academy and training is to replace old and worn gym, training and IT equipment with newer equipment, extra ‘office’ space in the way of mobile cabins for academy coaches and technical assistant staff and outdoor and indoor pitch surface improvements. Rafa wants structured dedicated coaching work shops for the coaches to work from, data rooms, physio and medical improvements and so much more... good luck with that He’s leaving! Guest chopey
To think that Manchester United the biggest club in the world who will probably spend 10 times our budget this year and still not win anything have a manager that couldn't tie Rafas laces and we are still prepared to let him go because of one man. Guest reefatoon
I really hope the shit hits the fan when he does leave in the summer. All out war on the twats that run the club, but I just can't see it. It's going to carry on as normal isn't it. full houses.
Paully
He’s desperate to stay Rafa on Ajax, and how NUFC could replicate that model https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-rejects-claims-more-16174840

Stottie
Now up to joint sixth in the goals against column. Above Arsenal and Man U. One goal behind Wolves who are fifth.
AyeDubbleYoo
As if we are in any way comparable to Ajax anyway We've produced Paul Dummett in the last 10 years FFS.
Guest
The club will see that and appoint Frank de Boer or something.
Papavasiliou
Chroniclelive They said Ashley was lining up Gattuso as his replacement yesterday I'd take that for the comedy value alone.

astraguy
Unreal that Pardew would still have a year left on that 8 year contract but Rafa can't even get simple 3 year deal
AyeDubbleYoo
I’m sure he could if he was prepared to except Pardew terms.

TRon
The fucking thick fucks in charge simply can't see if you back Rafa he'll make you much more money than if you don't. Fucking useless wastes of oxygen them cunts. Ashley knows he'll make money his way, he could make a lot more with Rafa in charge, but that means investment which carries risk. Might be a small risk, but Ashley knows his way will guarantee profit one way or another. He would rather have a guaranteed £5m profit every year than a chance of losing money, and more importantly control. There's more than a little ego involved as well, he has proven to be a petty cunt during most of his tenure.
Paully
It’s going to be sickening losing him as a person associated with NUFC never mind our manager :-(
gbandit
It’s going to be sickening losing him as a person associated with NUFC never mind our manager :-( absolutely, he’s a first rate human being. Gutted already about how this will all play out but if he does leave I hope he gets what he merits at a different club, hopefully one on the continent but it seems more likely he’ll manage again in the PL
Wilson
A minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but imagine going from his TV interviews/pressers back to the Pardew/Mclaren type bullshit.
Mattoon
A minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but imagine going from his TV interviews/pressers back to the Pardew/Mclaren type bullshit. I won't be watching any lickspittle in charge once Rafa leaves so imagination is all I'll have. The last bastion of hope for me.
Guest chopey
I wonder if Ashley will have the cheek to do a Shearer on Rafa and just let his contract until he goes........................................in fact is that what he's doing now ? Deuce
Cracking read from F365 https://www.football365.com/news/premier-league-winners-and-losers-rafael-benitez-manchester-united If Newcastle get this wrong, they deserve their supporters to leave in droves – and they will. last_monetarist
Yeah the prospect of Newcastle supporters abandoning ship is pretty bleak. You already have some people on here posing the question around which manager we would prefer to take over if Rafa leaves, I mean it's pretty staggering. I had given up on the club once Keegan left for the second time, and it was only Rafa's appointment that drew me back in. I'm pretty certain that when Rafa leaves, I will lose all interest again.
