Ketsbaia
He'd never accept the first bid. Get it to £320m and I think there's a deal.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
For anyone that's wasted away their days watching Wheeler Dealers, it needs to be agreed with a Mike Brewer customary handshake, swooping in from about head height and nearly taking the other person's arm off. Dave
People seem remarkably sure that increasing the the bid to 'meet in the middle' would be fairly easy. We're supposedly talking fifty million pounds.
Toonjam88
People need to remember these fucking journalists hadn't a clue there was even a bid 5 hours ago now they know how much it was and that Ashley is going to reject it. They haven't a clue man.

Danh1
For the first time it feels like the end of Ashley is close. It's all or bust really. Rafa and Amanda taking the club forward or all else fails then the club will officially be stone cold dead.
Dave
For those who still place more trust in the BBC reporting things, this is Dan Roan's take: A financial firm headed by British businesswoman Amanda Staveley has tabled a formal takeover bid in the region of £300m for Newcastle United. PCP Capital Partners has been in talks with club owner Mike Ashley for about a month, and a source close to the deal said an offer has now been made. Newcastle are yet to comment publicly on the news, although a club source has disputed the value of the bid.
