From what I’ve read in the news and the last few posts on here, PCP came out saying that they really were serious and could have put loads of money into the club etc.. All seems very small time to me. In the greater scheme of things. All this back and forth bull plop just keeps our attention away from the absolute appalling lack of a transfer window we’re having, mainly down to her inadequate offer and subsequent time wasting. It’s shocking to think a club like Brighton can outspend us. What recent deals have PCP been involved in btw? The times article said she was involved in a few deals on the same day as being interviewed, including some deal relating to a casino in China. We obviously know about her deal with Man City and Barclays as they were her headline deals. I don’t think she’s one to be involved in the media much, most likely because the media interest in business acquisitions is minimal unless the story is massive. NUFC obviously attracts a lot of attention and the Times article seems to indicate that it’s put her into spotlight more than she would like. I’m sure she would have loved for the whole transaction to have went through without anyone knowing and for 1 day the deal to have been announced out of nowhere. At the moment there is no activity on the site and even though it has been approved it has only been done so on the on condition that an agreement with Nexus is made, which so far hasn’t happened. If Ashley’s intent to sell the club is real and he’s prepared to offer that bit of land to the new owners in a separate purchase then he’s not going to develop it any time soon. If PCP are struggling/reluctant to stump up £300m with no clauses I'd say the chances of them forking out another £60m for the land are pretty slim. It's a big if now unfortunately, but if PCP buy the club, I think Staveley will set up meetings with supporters' groups such as NUST etc. In those meetings it could be brought up. PCP are being criticized for being 50M short of the press version of his price, but his price also includes him keeping 60M of land.
