The Joe Kinnear of the PR business I heard. Sports Direct own 51% of his company so not only is he a total puppet. His livelihood is tied to the success of SD. As far as I know, our royal family or government aren’t interested in buying a football club. Two wrongs and all that. They do deserve demonising, but only if we apply those same standards to everyone and admit our own Govt has done some pretty shady shit and will do again at every opportunity it suits them. As you say, let's focus on Ashley. Have we been killing journalists? Do we cane people, or cut their hands off, behead people? Did we have a hand in one of the worst terrorist attacks against civilians? it's not the same, even remotely. Nah we just bomb people and sell the Saudis weapons ... More likely he hasn't hit his ad revenue quota for the month/couldn't be arsed to do some actual journalism. Why go to the effort of investigating if there's any truth behind what their source (ha) has said when it's easier to copy and paste the last few articles, move some of the text around and just change the location of the consortium. Still going to get people happy to read through ad infested pages for no new news whatever, but hey at least when they get to the bottom of the page they can then click on the link to the article about Ronaldo taking a selfie in his car cause there's some real news there. What's annoyed me most with the media turning on Ashley is it only happened after Ashley Out etc did their job for them. It was the same with Pardew.
