Away Day Gadgie
We'll probably get something boring and miles away. Southampton away i'm going for.

nufcjb
Notts County Away if this was a home tie, bet there would be a Shola flag found somewhere in the Gallowgate.
timeEd32
Our recent form Last 10 FAC Third Round ties: 2016/17 Birmingham City (a) drew 1-1 2015/16 Watford (a) lost 0-1 2014/15 Leicester City (a) lost 0-1 2013/14 Cardiff City (h) lost 1-2 2012/13 Brighton and Hove Albion (a) lost 0-2 2011/12 Blackburn Rovers (h) won 2-1 2010/11 Stevenage (a) lost 1-3 2009/10 Plymouth Argyle (a) drew 0-0 2008/09 Hull City (a) drew 0-0 2007/08 Stoke City (a) drew 0-0 So our only win in a decade is because Ben Arfa is a magician. Kevo
If we don't get an easy home tie, then selfishly I'd like a southern team away from home. By southern I mean Bristol across to London or below.
Dave
It's a shame our league form basically means that this competition is going to be expendable once again.
HaydnNUFC
Why? It's 6 matches which up to round 6 the PL fixture list is accommodated for, so it's still one game every weekend practically. As long as you don't get taken to a replay.
Interpolic
Every single year the league is too important for us to bother with the cups whatsoever. We'll never win anything.
Dave
Last season and this, I think it was/is fair for the league to take priority over any other competition. Going back up and staying up first season back is literally everything right now for the future of the club. Any other time, in normal circumstances then obviously the above does not apply. Dave
That said, a few wins wouldn't do us any harm.
Greg
Had a decent go in the League Cup last season, but much easier to do early in the season before players get tired etc. Didn't we rest players for a league cup game and get turned over by Blackburn? Infinitely Content
Not sure Benitez would allow for the complacency seen in recent years against lesser clubs. Yes I know we went out against Forest earlier but I'm hoping he will take the FA cup more seriously and field a strong team. Any lower league team, home or away would do me, we could really do with the wins to gain momentum back in the league.
