This game is highlighted more than any how you really need to take your chances.

Is it me or does Rafa set us up better in away games and shite at home?

Partly, but I think that these players probably feel the pressure more in front of our own fans at St James. I know it's not what we should expect, but you need big players at a club like Newcastle and most of our lads know they aren't good enough.

Gayle for Murphy, move Atsu out wide and we'll win.

No thanks. We're playing well as it is, no changes for now.

Agree,  Perez is playing so well up front don’t want to mess with that.

He probably should have scored, being a PL footballer n' all, but that chance for Clark really wasn't cut-n-dry.

It wasn’t as ‘easy’ a finish as it may have seemed. A centre half is the last fucker you want on the end of that flick on.

Diame is also clearly our most intelligent player.

Not compared to Merino. Besides, the bloke can barely control the ball (as good positionally as he has been today....we need more quality on the ball!).

Diame having a good game, Merino had a stinker last time out.

Can't work out if Murphy just lacks confidence or he's not actually very good.

Needs to improve his final ball. Off the ball when making runs etc, he's our only threat down one of the flanks. Ritchie stays in front of his man and doesn't try to take him on.

Diame's movement is a big plus despite his touch being dodgy at times, at least until he runs out of gas.
